What was the highlight of Quality Hotel Saga
Nice hotel with ok staff
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in March 2024. The hotel is situated smack in the middle of Tromso town and very close to the fjords water. All our “attraction pickups” were with 2 mins walk from the hotel. From the airport there is an express bus that drop you very close to the hotel. The ticket price is 125 NOK. For two travellers it makes sense to take a taxi to the hotel and the cost is approximately 250 NOK. We had a nice large room that accommodated 3 adults with a lot of additional space to live around. The bathroom was very large with an enclosed shower. Our Deluxe room had the view of the fjord. The breakfast spread is elaborate and the there is enough seating area for the guests. The hotel also provides a dinner buffet in week nights. We did not avail of it as Tromso has an assortment of high-end restaurants. All in all a nice hotel which is well located. However, the room prices are quite steep but that could be because we stayed around equinox when solar activity for viewing Northern lights is quite high.

Good
Very good and big variety of food at breakfast. Nice birthday attention with small plates of cakes. Good central city location.
Not very wide 'ocean view' in deluxe room and which cannot be combined with a room with bathtub. Anyhow, don't think to choose a room for the bathtub as it is very small and anyone would be disappointed by the size of it (except maybe a child?)Didn't enjoy having 2 single beds that slides away from each other instead of one double bed as expected from the listing

Professional reception staff, great breakfast, good location - Ongoing Renovation
Professional and flexible staff at the reception. Good location, comfortable beds, great breakfast and good internet.
The noise & disturbance from major ongoing renovation work. Examples, limited access/elevator, start up work Saturday morning. Limitations & disturbance from renovation work was not clearly informed in advance. Such Information must be much better. Nice staff at the breakfast, but not much knowledge and experience for some of them. However, more training & knowledge is management responsibility, and hereby highly recommended.

Very friendly staff compared to other hotels in Norway Amazing breakfast with lots of options (5+ kinds of breads, fresh waffles, pancakes, brownies, eggs, bacon, meatballs, smoothies, yoghurts, fruits, vegetables) Location right in the middle of Tromsø Very nice shower water Large size bed (2 singles put together)
